The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join an expanding team as the major CSG-LNG project progresses towards operation stages. The successful candidate will work within the Engineering Support Team as they oversee all physical plant and associated equipment.

The successful candidate will act as the Lead Engineer within the discipline, to ensure that all mechanical and associated equipment is operated within the design constraints. As part of the Engineering Support Team the incumbent will provide technical assistance and oversee modifications to existing equipment.

Working within a larger team, the contractor will effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as keeping abreast of company development activities. The candidate will also work with less experienced professionals, requiring them to mentor, coach and lead reports.

• Establish and maintain designs for plant and equipment procedures
• Review noise models and industrial noise propagation, to provide advice regarding occupational environmental acoustics
• Establish operational standards for noise and vibration
• Interface with disciplines across various project stages
• Participate in production and maintenance reviews, as well as EPcm optimisation processes

In exchange, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a Coal Seam Gas project at the forefront of the industry here in Australia. You will be offered a long term contract (minimum twelve months) and a competitive market day rate reviewed annually. The client is able to offer attractive relocation package for the successful candidate and visa assistance is provided.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, or equivalent years’ experience in gas plant or gas pipeline engineering
• Registered Profession Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), and a chartered member of a relevant engineering institution
• Record of delivery in a similar role involving the operation and maintenance or gas gathering and/or EPcm systems
• Experienced in field mechanical operations and in maintaining mechanical systems
• Knowledge of a range of mechanical integrity management procedures, including acoustics

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Australian requirements and experience working on Oil & Gas projects in the region
