The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK.

The Role:
The Mechanical Engineer will be involved in Front end optioneering studies

Producing mechanical handling schematics, engineering deliverables and checking other engineers work where applicable

The Mechanical Engineer will have experience of commonly used handling methods and materials and a good understanding of nuclear standards and EH&S legislation

Using technical writing skills and experience to support the delivery of project related documents, ie specifications, Data Sheets, Bid Tabulations, Material Requisitions.

Selection, specification and evaluation and testing of various mechanical handling equipment with international standards.

The Mechanical Engineer will have experience in at least one of the following:

Container Handling (nuclear) eg, conveyor or crane systems
Robotic active materials handling (eg, Kuka Arms), mechanical handling for installation, demolition and decommissioning.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HND/HNC with relevant experience
Ideally 5-10 years experience in Nuclear
