The Company:
Our Client is the largest LNG producing company in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (MTA), safely and reliably delivering LNG to customers around the globe from world-class facilities in Qatar.

The Role:
• Coordinate the engineering aspects of the project within the discipline to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
• This position is accountable to the WRR Senior Project Engineer and indirectly to Project Manager.

Have daily contacts with other discipline engineers (within PMT and Engineering Department), Operations and Maintenance engineers and supervisors personnel to discuss projects, answers technical queries and to resolve problems.
Have frequent contacts with consultants and contractors to discuss projects and construction/installation work. Have periodic contacts with vendors to specify materials and equipment, and to answer queries.
Must be self-motivated and able to efficiently organize own work schedules. Performs assigned duties in accordance with approved COMPANY policies, procedures and professional standards.
Work quality and schedules, and task priorities, are regularly reviewed with by supervisor.

• Reports Senior Project Engineer and indirectly to Project Manager
• Review and monitor project mechanical/piping design basis, especially with regards to HVAC design. Provide timely review of Contractor’s mechanical/piping designs.
• Coordinate the engineering aspects of the project to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
• Monitor Contractor’s performance and provide advice as necessary to make certain Company’s design philosophy and specifications are achieved.
• Monitor and review Contractor’s mechanical/piping engineering effort and make recommendations to Project Manager and Senior Project Engineers.
• Provide technical support to the project procurement and construction activities.
• Monitor Contractor’s and vendor’s quality control effort.
• Review and comment on proposed field modifications to mechanical/piping systems. Review piping stress analyses for compliance to industry codes and project specifications.
• Review PID drawings and control systems for safe and operable equipment features as required.
• Participate in HAZOP and other overall safety reviews as required.
• Monitor EPC inspection activities for mechanical/piping systems and major mechanical/piping system components.
• Develop and implement EPC field installation plans and procedures.
• Control Management of Change within his discipline/area and make recommendations to Engineering management concerning the technical necessity of any changes.
• Participate with EPC contractor in resolution of installation and commissioning problems and discrepancies in order to ensure the resolution complies with specifications and meets functional and safety objectives.
• Monitors EPC contractor execution of the installation and commissioning of mechanical/piping systems and mechanical/piping system components to ensure compliance with job specifications, functional performance, safety goals and terms of contract.
• Provide start-up and commissioning support to Company.
• Carries out other similar or related duties as per the direction from the Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in English language, both verbal and written
• Basic personal computing skills, preferentially including working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Proven ability to work independently
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Able to work well with people from a variety of national backgrounds and cultures
• Minimum of eight (8) years technical experience in discipline and have at least four (4) years specific involvement in piping system design and pipe stress analysis engineering for projects.
• Experience with Contractors and worldwide vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of major onshore facilities.
