The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment to join the Central Processing Facility (CPF) in Houston until the end of the year. The position will then mobilize to Korea later this year.

-Under the direction of Topside Engineering Manager, deliver a topside’s design that meets the requirements of the project in safety, reliability, operability and maintainability for its 40 year design life.
-Have a detailed understanding and knowledge relating to rotating equipment including all types of compressors, turbine driven generators, diesel driven generators and engines and all types of pumps (line shaft, electrical submersible, hydraulic, etc).
-Support/advise the project team on rotating equipment aspects of design, construction and offshore hook-up and commissioning of the FPSO to meet project requirement.
-Work with the Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer in the preparation technical reports and presentations as required.
-Ensure that project specifications are complied with and deviations are substantiated in line with project procedures.
-Ensure Project BOD is updated as required in line with project procedures.
-Ensure project deliverables and activities associated with the CPF design are achieved in accordance with project milestone dates, budget and technical requirements of BOD.
-Direct/advise Contractors on rotating equipment aspects of design, construction, installation and offshore hook-up and commissioning of the CPF to meet project requirements.
-Manage and control work undertaken by Contractor.
-Monitor/review and report progress of the work in a timely manner.
-Organise regular progress/technical meetings with Contractor.
-Provide guidance and input into Contractor strategies/procedures and specifications with respect to piping and layout design for design, procurement, construction, installation and offshore hookup and commissioning of CPF.
-Participate in HAZID/ENVID, HAZOPs, design reviews, constructability reviews etc.
-Review and comment of Contractor/Supplier documentation in a timely manner.
-Coordinate the client discipline comments on Contractor/Supplier documentation in a timely manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in multi-discipline design of Offshore Oil and Gas Topside Facilities.
