The Company:
Our client, a major international engineering & construction company, seeks expertise for projects in Atlantic Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
This role is to provide technical support for the Project and would be based in St. John's until late June/early July and then transition to the Marystown shipyard to deliver execution of the scope noted above.

Responsibilities will include:

Manage preparation for execution of MPG Port Major Inspection, MPG Stbd Hot Gas Path Inspection, MPG Gearbox replacement. Define plan for concurrent work on MPG project as noted.
Support M&I team to include 20+ M&I tasks (currently in scope) integrated into overall project schedule to determine execution plan.
Prepare/manage Project Change and integrate planning scope with the planning team to identify and mitigate clashes.
Manage technical communication with vendor to drive engineering solutions for new Change Requests as detailed below. Provide input to vendor
coordinator for vendor mobilization at site.
Ensure preparation of work packs by our EPC contractor and our maintenance and inspection planners is complete including the plan, materials identification, lift plan, liaison with ATH for personnel, materials etc. Work issues such as laydown/workspace. Provide technical interface to reduce RP
plan from 90 to 50 days and communicate to M&I team and PKI team for workpack development.
Provide technical direction for various MPG projects to be completed.
Deliver execution of the above to the yard during project duration.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree and be a Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador or technical diploma with experience.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
Previous engineering and/or project management experience with a proven track record in delivering on schedule and budget
