The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As the Mechanical Engineer (Static) you will be responsible for the review and approval of design and details engineering (EPC) related to static equipment and tanks.

• The review and approval of Project General Specifications.
• The review and approval of technical bid evaluations and technical clarifications.
• Review and Approval of equipment datasheets, specifications and requisitions.
• Supervise the design and selection of static equipment including:
oVessels, tanks and columns, (including internals);
oHeat exchangers, (air cooled, shell and tube type, high pressure, and brazed aluminum plate type.);
oAtmospheric Tanks, (external and internal floating roof, geodesic and other supported roof design); and
oSeparators and other misc items.
• Support and guide the work carried out by Contractors for material design and specification, fabrication in the yard, transportation, installation and construction.
• Participate in Design Reviews and Constructability Reviews.
• Review and comment of Contractor documentation in a timely manner.
• Review and approve vendor data such as drawings, engineering data sheet, inspection and testing plan, and other documents including design calculations of static equipment and tanks on either module or concrete foundation.
• Coordinate the Company discipline comments on Contractor / Supplier documentation in a timely manner.
• Represent the Company at inspections during equipment fabrication and witness performance testing at vendor / sub contractor locations.
• Provision of technical support at site during equipment installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review and approve technical queries, design changes and deviation request etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree
• Min 5 years experience in a similar position.
• Conversant with code such as ASME Sec VIII Div 1 & 2, AS 1210, ASTM, NACE, TEMA, API 660 / 661 / 662 / 650 and other related codes, standards and regulations.
• Experience of CAD software such as PV Elite, Compress, Finglow and Tank etc. for design of pressure vessels, heat exchanges and tanks.
• Capability to perform mechanical design using design codes for pressure vessels and tanks.
• Conversant with materials, (especially low and high temperature), inspection and testing requirements and quality aspect.
• Exposure to fabrication and various NDT techniques will be an added advantage.
• Ability for understanding and implementation of recommendation of various reviews such as safety, mechanical handling and human factor engineering (HFE).
• Demonstrated engineering experience in provision of fabrication, construction & technical advice for oil and gas including onshore LNG projects.
