The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer who will also be located in the EPC contractor's Calgary office, the Static Mechanical Equipment Engineer will be part of a multi-functional project team. Position will be based in the EPC contractor's Calgary office which is responsible for delivery of the LNG plant utilities and OSBL scope. Position is responsible for providing technical review of the EPC contractor's static mechanical equipment design deliverables for the facility utilities and OSBL scope and works with Lead Mechanical Engineer to ensure compliance with project requirements including codes, standards and specifications.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degreed mechanical engineer with minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience with design and fabrication of static mechanical equipment (vessels, tanks and heat exchangers). Requires expertise with mechanical equipment in a gas plant, LNG, refinery, chemical, or oil and gas production environment.
MCP Experience: - Major capital project experience required. Major capital project experience on a LNG plant project is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams, including contractors and vendors. Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced Project environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
HES: - Must be committed to Incident & Injury Free operation. Visibly demonstrate safety culture of the Company. Possess a good understanding of safe design & operating practices including application of process safety, HFE and SID. Commitment to understanding and implementing IIF and compliance with safe work practices. Must champion safety performance including the contractors' work force.
