The Company:
Our Client is engaged in front end studies, modifications to existing platforms operations and maintenance contracts, field decommissioning and removal. The company has some 2,200 employees. Field development with new platforms covering all engineering disciplines. Procurement, material administration and project management.

The Role:
This role provides the engineering service to design, develop and configure Mechanical and Hydraulic products
• Modules & Mounting Bases
• Subsea Distribution Equipment
• Surface Distribution Equipment
• Instrumentation – Pressure / Temperature Sensors, Flow Meters, Metering Valves,
• Associated Test Equipment
• Directional Control Valves
• Hydraulic Couplings & Electrical Connectors
• Housings & Drilled Manifolds
The main roles performed in the day to day execution of the services are as follows:
• Working knowledge of all relevant International Standards.
• Develop standard products to meet client requirements & specifications.
• Creating Materials and Bills of Materials (SAP knowledge preferred).
• Prepare / Check
o Drawings & generate documentation as per requirements and specifications.
o Technical calculations for material strength & integrity.
o Product Data Sheets which define the associated product range / limitations.
o Functional Design and Procurement Specifications defining the product requirements.
o Test Procedures.
• Manage and generate Engineering Change Orders.
• Perform Design Reviews.
• Write supporting product Design Guidelines.
• Provide support for Engineering, Tendering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
• Provide technical & commercial product benchmarking.
• Maintain and improve / simplify our design and operating processes.
• Provide assistance
o In the development / establishment of new technologies and core technical competencies.
o To Senior / Principal Engineer for the reviewing of client specifications, to ensure products are suitable for application.
o To Senior / Principal Engineer to ensure optimum mechanical solutions will work with current product or proposed products.
o To Senior / Principal Engineer in the development of prototypes, verification / validation units and product specifications, including material specifications, assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation.

• Liaise with Systems Solutions department and other engineering disciplines to ensure that non-qualified products and developments meet the current and foreseeable future Project requirements.
• Has a continual awareness of new / advancing technologies, meet with / assess Suppliers and provides conceptual and practical applications for products used.
• Provide sustaining engineering direction and support for existing products.
• Manage activities of Senior Engineers and mentor Mechanical Engineers / Graduates in their day to day work.
• Additionally, when workload demands, the job holder may be assigned other duties as defined by the Supervisor.
Create Intellectual Property (IP) through idea and product submissions and patent applications.
Responsibility to interface towards the Senior and Principal Engineers to ensure all faults are monitored, trends identified and appropriate continuous improvements are implemented.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or HNC / HND with relevant industry experience.
Demonstrable relevant Mechanical Engineering experience preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
Will have a sound working knowledge of offshore industry best practices.
Demonstrable experience in the ability to carry out all elements of mechanical design within Topside & Subsea Controls Systems covering Mechanical and Hydraulic products, material selection and welding practices.
Candidates / job-holders without the relevant formal qualifications above but possessing other academic or vocational qualifications or who can demonstrate a greater level of relevant practical experience with a proven track-record may be considered equally competent.

Have a proven involvement with multi-disciplined Projects, and be familiar with equipment and activities throughout all levels of business.
Review of Electrical & Hydraulic Schematics and Specifications.
Review and implement Control System Hydraulic / Analysis.
