The Role:
Job Scope

Ensure that Company HSE&Q policies and procedures are adhered to in all phases of the work.
•Participate in HSE related activities - Tool Box Meetings, Site HSE walks / inspections.
•General HSE follow-up and monitoring.
•Participate in review and approval of RA / Construction Method Statement submittals.
•Work closely with Mechanical Construction Lead to help ensure that all readiness for mechanical construction activities on site is conducted in a timely manner in accordance with the project schedule.
•Provide experienced input into the Mechanical part of the schedule to ensure a realistic schedule is produced.
•Ensure EPC Contractor personnel follow project work and process procedures throughout the construction phase.
•Along with the Construction and QC group monitor all mechanical related activities from receipt of equipment to field installation and mechanical completion and ensure all activities are executed in accordance with the appropriate standards and procedures, the schedule and the relevant HSE&Q policies.
•Provide input to site team to avoid/resolve challenges within the mechanical discipline.
•Report non-conformities and improvement areas to the Mechanical Lead Construction Supervisor.
•Participate and support QC with relation to Witness and Hold Point inspections in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plans for mechanical discipline
•Ensure that the contractor uses dimensional control in a proactive manner in order to achieve the required dimensional tolerances
•Review Equipment dimensional control reports to ensure that tolerance requirements are met.
•Participate along with Mechanical Construction Lead in weekly discipline meetings.
•Review and evaluate Contractor’s records.
•Review Contractor’s and Suppliers’ completion files for accuracy and adequacy.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Education:
•Tertiary education within mechanical Engineering / construction
•Less formal education may be compensated by documented relevant experience


•Experience:
•Minimum 10 years experience of construction of large offshore projects
•Extensive relevant experience as a Mechanical Field Engineer.
•Experience with EPC type contracts
•Regulatory competence for the petroleum industry
•Minimum 5 years experience working with SE Asian Contractors
•Fluent in English, verbal and written
