The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Base in: Korea, Ulsan

Role Synopsis:
Based in Korea in the HHI Facility as part of the FPSO Topsides Quality team.
The responsibilities of the Mechanical/Piping Inspector shall include demonstration of HSSE leadership skills ‘leading by example’.
The Mech/Piping Inspector is accountable for ensuring that the contract specifications, International codes and regulatory compliance requirements are met. These requirements will be demonstrated by conducting scheduled and un-scheduled Inspections, at the Contractor main facilities and it’s Sub –contractors.
These inspections shall be from receipt of raw materials, fabrication, testing including review of supporting documentation, and including the Mechanical completion process.
At all times adopting the ‘one team’ approach for the full execution of the fabrication works.

Key Accountabilities:
• As a representative of our Client ‘leading by example’ on all issues
• Ensure that the ‘design intent’ is preserved in accordance with technical engineering requirements and within our client and Project quality expectations.
• Ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan and Quality Strategy relating to the FPSO scope of work.
• Support the Construction team and ensure that all Quality requirements and procedures are understood.
• Attend appropriate quality audits and Inspections covering Contractor, Suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Report deviations and Non–conformances.
• Ensure Contractor quality management plans are followed.
• Assist the Independent Verification Body (IVB) to fulfill work scope.
• Work closely with the Contractors Inspection team maintaining a ‘one team’ approach.
• Participate in weekly quality meetings.
• Generate weekly QC/Inspection report and track and expedite closure of quality related issues.
• Ensure all Quality related documentation deliverables are identified collated, reviewed and stored.
• Carry out any additional activities as assigned by the Quality lead/ engineer.
• Recognise and respect local cultural issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience in a quality Inspection role for offshore structures. (Min 10 Years’ experience)

Qualification to an internationally recognised welding Inspection body.

International Qualification of NDE techniques (Lvl 2 minimum) also would be an advantage.

Personal commitment and pro-active approach to HSSE

Demonstrable experience on Fabrications of large Process pipework including the mechanical completion process..

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience with HHI

Previous experiences in construction of FPSO’S would also be an advantage
