The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
The Mechanical Inspector will have the following responsibilities;

• Promote safety awareness Incident Injury Free (IIF) and safe performance at all times.
• Undertake general mechanical and piping inspections during the various stages of construction.
• Provide support and assistance to construction during assembly of package supplied equipment from the setting out and grouting of shear keys, bedding plates, etc, through to final acceptance ensuring compliance with project specifications, manufactures and vendors recommendations requirements are being achieved.
• Provide support and assistance regarding equipment preservation prior to and during installation up to start up.
• Monitoring to ensure effective implementation of ITP’s & ITR’s by the contractor and attendance at Hold & Witness points.
• Actively involved with acceptance of site Hydro-static / pneumatic testing carried out by the contractors,
• Assisting construction with the final walk down punch lists, both Mechanical & Piping.
• Participating with Construction, Tech Services, Completion’s, Commissioning in the verification of construction completion.
• Monitoring to ensure timely mark-up of As-built drawings and progressive compilation of MDR’s in accordance with index.
• Assisting with timely resolution and follow up of Non-Conformance reports (NCR’s) and Concession Request’s (CR’s).
• Provide assistance with compiling final hand over documentation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications and Expereince required for this role;

• Apprenticeship trained preferably as a Millwright, minimum as a mechanical fitter.
• Has previous employment history as a mechanical inspector for a minimum of 5 years.
• Previous experience on major Oil & Gas EPCM construction projects.
• Previous experience with installation of static and rotating equipment as a mechanical inspector.
• Previous experience installing package supplied equipment, under vendor’s recommendations and directions.
• Ability to interpret Piping isometrics and previous experience with on site stick built piping installation.
• Confidence in executing routine surveillance inspections around structural, mechanical, static, rotating equipment including piping.
• Previous experience with installation of large Gas Turbine Generators (GTG’s), Compressors and MEG injection would be advantageous.
