The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Within the limits of qualification and certification, the incumbent will perform a full range of mechanical inspection and QC work on fixed (static) equipment and static parts of rotating equipment.
1. Perform external and internal Inspection of plant equipment for mechanical defects and corrosion.
2. Ensure the integrity and compliance of facilities and plant equipment with applicable codes and the client's engineering specifications and requirements during fabrication/manufacturing (procurement), installation/constructions (projects) and in-service / shutdowns (operations).
3. Perform welding inspection for defects and ensures relevant procedures and welder qualification and performance requirements are met to ensure quality.
4. Perform materials inspection including Non-Metallic for defects, grades, tolerance and compatibility.
5. Use inspection tools including callipers, micrometres, boroscopes& pit gages; None Destructive Testing (NDT) methods including VT, PT, MPT, UT & RT.
6. Perform coating inspection including surface preparation, holiday-testing and assists with applicator certification review.
7. Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic and other pressure testing.
8. Perform corrosion monitoring and inspection activities as required by the work process.
9. Perform evaluation and interpretation of inspection findings and NDT to determine defects and recommends remedies and repairs as required.
10. Assist in the generation and drafting of inspection worksheets, recommendations and reports.
11. Update inspection records, log books and management systems to ensure inspection work and data are properly documented and saved.
12. Perform in QC inspection for new equipment fabrication and installation and/ or for repairs and modification in existing equipment repairs.
13. Inspect heat treatment, installation of hot taps, weld plus ends sleeves, pads and any welding required on process equipment while on services.
14. Inspect equipment for cleanness and safe entry prior to internal inspection during shutdowns and turnarounds.
15. Review inspection related procedures and engineering documents and assist in the training of entry level inspectors.
16. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Mechanical Inspector II :
• A Two-year (2) Technical College degree in Mechanical studies or equivalent. This can be waived by High School (industrial/science) degree with three years of experience and training in plant or project inspection.
• English Proficiency: Up to Level 7, TOFEL or equivalent.
• AWS welding inspector; level II certification in the five (5) conventional NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, UT & RT); CSWIP Plant inspector level 1; completion of OJT Tasks; physical fit for equipment entry and climbing; valid Driver License.
Mechanical Inspector I :
In addition to the above, the following qualifications shall apply:
• Vessels or piping API inspector certification, CSWIP plant Inspector level II and RTFI Level II certifications in process equipment/piping inspection.
Mechanical Inspector II :
• Five years (5) of experience in plant and/ or project inspection post technical college or eight years post high school.
Mechanical Inspector I:
• Eight years (8)
