The Company:
Our Client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a Mechanical Inspector Specialist to join their team.

The Role:
• QC surveillance of contractors adherence to contractual (procedures, specifications) requirements of rotating equipment at various facilities. Ensures that the Project’s requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications including preservation, for all rotating equipment are met.
• Provide overall rotating equipment technical expertise and coordinate as required project engineering team member’s involvement in the rotating equipment activities including interaction with the EPCM contractor’s rotating equipment personnel.
• Provide Procurement Quality Control support for any / all rotating equipment and other purchase orders as required and coordinated through Procurement QC Coordinator including temporary site assignments joining specific project teams temporarily.
• Prepare and submit weekly activity information including narratives, charts, graphs, pictures etc. on rotating equipment inclusive of preservation to the QC coordinator.
• Verify that the mechanical rotating equipment if at a site before or after installation satisfies Project preservation requirements consistent with a reporting log verifying the preservation.
• Promote safety awareness and safe performance examples at site, fabrication yards, subcontractors and vendor shops.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Mechanical Trade/Engineering or equivalent qualifications
• A Minimum of 20-25 years in the oil and gas industry fully conversant with applicable API and BS rotating equipment standards.
• Technical mechanical experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Computer literate with a high level of technical report writing skills.
• Self motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Methodical, meticulous and pragmatic approach.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
