The Company:
Our client is a leading operator with a global presence.

The Role:
• Ensure that the engineering scope of work, relevant technical requirements as defined in EPC contract and design basis is implemented in the mechanical packages.
• Ensure development of cost effective technical solutions in accordance with the specified quality.
• Maintain, as required, technical documents forming the framework for engineering to be performed by contractors, i.e. DTOR Documents, Design Basis, Functional Requirements, General Technical Specifications, all technical documents which form part of procurement packages.
• Follow up that the package engineering work performed by contractors is in accordance with defined requirements including QA and QC audits, design reviews and participate in Contractors discipline meetings.
• Monitor mechanical package progress in accordance with agreed milestone plan and contractor plans. Ensure specific attention to Norwegian rules and regulation compliance.
• Ensure review and implementation of relevant issues from experience transfer (lessons learned) activities.
• Participate in Contractor bid clarification meetings, bid evaluations, vendor kick-off meetings, vendor technical design reviews, vendor working environment design reviews, vendor progress meetings and FATs.
• Ensure attention to Company HSE requirements.
• Input and support to the following activities:
o LLI process
o Procurement process
o Detailed engineering follow-up
o Planning process
o Interfaces
o Participate in project risk analysis sessions
• Ensure that necessary and relevant engineering documentation is reviewed and commented by relevant disciplines regarding technical integrity and compliance with project requirements.
• Review design changes and monitor satisfactory implementation.
• Participate in process with Technical Queries, NCR’s and Deviations.
• Ensure knowledge to and perform work in accordance with established procedures necessary for performing the work.
• Make priorities with respect to engineering discipline interfaces, documentation, technical reviews, meetings etc.
• Attend Engineering meetings and highlight mechanical package engineering matters.
• Prepare input to periodic management reports as required.
• Support engineering personnel reporting to the Engineering Manager.
• Input/support to Authority Liaison contact as required.
• Package support during construction/installation/MC/commissioning.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• More than 15 years of relevant experience from working in oil and gas industry.
• More than 6 years experience from working in oil company organizations.
• Experience and good knowledge of national and international regulations and standards with respect to the mechanical package scope.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
• Bachelor degree within mechanical/plant engineering or equivalent.
