The Company:
A Major Operator

The Role:
Company representative in EPC Contractor's office as a member of a multi-functional project execution team responsible for interface with the engineering, procurement, operations and maintenance personnel (within the Company and Contractor teams).
The Mechanical Package/Rotating Equipment Engineer will support the development of rotating and packaged equipment deliverables, including support of the coordination efforts of the Contractor.
Reviews work done by the Contractor. Identify key issues/risks and involve Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed.
Coordinate the efforts of the SMEs.
Review datasheets, and vendor documents for assuring conformance to Code, standards and meet project specification, basis of design, EPC Contract, and safety standards.
Provision of direction to the Contractor in the design development/procurement of packaged equipment, preventative maintenance philosophy, equipment layouts and maintenance access.
Provides continuity of discipline efforts through detailed design as well as assisting in any estimate, scheduling and project assurance activities.
The Mechanical Package/Rotating Equipment Engineer will also participate in Hazards & Operations Reviews (HAZOP), Vendor 3D Model reviews, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's).
Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an incident and injury free culture
The Mechanical Package/Rotating Equipment Engineer will report to the Mechanical Team Lead.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BS preferred or equivalent experience; BSc (UK)
Preferred candidate would have a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and possess at least 5 years of experience relating to equipment packages associated with rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors).
In addition to this, a broad knowledge of package design and specification (equipment, piping, instrumentation & controls, etc.) is essential as well as being fully conversant with the relevant industry codes and standards.
Familiarity with the relevant Australian codes, standards and/or regulatory requirements would be considered a plus as would commissioning and start-up experience.
Furthermore, major capital project experience, the ability to work in a multi-discipline company and Contractor organization, strong interpersonal skill sets in a multi cultural team environment and the ability to work with minimal supervision would be highly regarded
