The Company:
Our client is a large multi-national Oil and Gas Operator which explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, gas and sulfur. They pride themselves on conducting operations in accordance with world–class safety and environmental standards.

The Role:
Provide Infrastructure and Facility camps/compounds discipline engineering providing engineering, drafting, design and project discipline engineering to support the Infrastructure and Facilities Management Project Group with small Capital Construction and Maintenance programs. This includes responsibility for work on a wide variety of facilities including:

New or refurbishing buildings, Roads, Fire Protection Systems, Storage and shipment., Power Generation & Distribution., Heating Centers (Boilers and Boiler Houses), Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment, Gas, water lines and plumbing systems, General infrastructure such as warehousing and camp & offices facilities.

Development of discipline engineering sketches, drawings, specifications.
Coordination and review of off-site discipline engineering work performed by engineering service contractors.
Specification and assistance of site survey work.
Production of discipline engineering of new (and modifications to existing) Camp Facilities compounds built to support Oils & Gas and Petrochemical industry, and production of “Approved for Construction” work packages.
Specification and order documentation for purchasing materials and equipment. Can include coordination activities with vendors/suppliers.
Develop schedules and estimates for the discipline.
Provide Field Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering support to Construction Group.
Provide Field Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering assessment and/or inspection.
Provide technical information for different types of materials used in construction with the Camp Facilities supporting the oil & gas industry.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have an Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Facilities Engineering.
Must have an in depth understanding of International Codes and Standards and RoK’s. Candidates must have extensive experience, preferably within Infrastructure and Facility camps. Experience developing and controlling small Infrastructure, Utilities and Facilities Management projects is required, i.e. design, Autocad drafting, develop and/or review specifications, develop Scope of Works and Job Packs. Strong in mechanical piping engineering and design.
Mechanical: Must have understanding of typical process plant engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&ID’s, piping general arrangements, isometrics etc. An understanding of HVAC and building services would be advantageous.
Civil / Structural: Must have strong understanding of typical infrastructure and facilities engineering deliverables such as steelwork and foundation calculations and drawings. Must have sound knowledge of construction materials.
