The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

Work location will be St. John's, NL with potential to transfer to Bull Arm Location

The Role:
As a Mechanical/Process Commissioning Specialist your main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Perform sequencing and prioritization of all Machinery/Mechanical and Process/Utilities commissioning schedule execution activities.
Provide discipline expertise for execution planning activities including resource management, schedule coordination, materials/tools/vendor support, system/equipment pre-requisite requirements.
Perform review of dynamic Commissioning Procedures (method statements) on mechanical/machinery and process/utilities scope for power-up/restart of a 40,000MT offshore topsides facility including but not limited to: Standby Power Generation, Utilities Distribution Pumps, HVAC, Safety Systems.
Assure that the Commissioning Procedures include the appropriate content and detail to assure safe and thorough commissioning.
Provide discipline expertise in Commissioning risk management processes including HAZOP, JHA, and FLRA.
Provide discipline input to develop In-Province temporaries operating procedures including but not limited to the following systems: Seawater, Firewater, Open Drains, Sewage, Diesel, Instrument Air, Freshwater, Worker Facilities etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum requirement in terms of training and competency:

15+ years of experience in oil and gas industry.
10+ years of direct commissioning experience.
Experience on an integrated offshore topsides project.
Multiple experiences large rotating machinery (eg. turbine compressor sets, water injection pumps, gas turbine generators, HVAC, seawater and firewater pumps etc.).
Experience with performing machinery alignments, vibration analysis and lube oil flushing.
Experience with offshore safety systems (lifeboats, escape chutes, liferafts).
Experience in cranes and lifting equipment (trolleys/hoists etc.).
Experience with systems completion database including building structure and populating for commissioning and MC execution.
Experience with multiple PTW systems in key roles (i.e. Area Authority, AEP and IA).
Developed dynamic commissioning procedures for process utility systems (eg. Potable water, treatment centrifuges, drains etc.).
