As one of the world’s leading engineering companies, Our Client assists in their customer's use of electrical power and aims to increase industrial productivity in a sustainable way.

The Role:
Seeking an energetic and confident Mechanical Project Engineer to join this dynamic and progressive global engineering company. The role will encompass project execution / delivery and various administrative tasks reporting to the CSS Manager. At times, you will also be required to liaise direct with customers. Whilst this is a office based position you will be required to travel to site on occasion.

The position responsibilities and scope will span:
• Design optimisation and construction of mechanical components for kiosk structures including; footings, plinths, Medium Voltage transformer frames and supports, sheet metal enclosures, Medium Voltage switchgear mountings.
• Analysis and specification of Mechanical / electro switchgear footings and structures
• Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
• Provide support and engineering advice to design draftspersons,
• Interfacing with suppliers for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.
• Participating in 'as sold' handover meetings and in internal and customer kickoff meetings.
• Preparing supplier documentation, quotations, RFQ's etc.
• Raising purchase requisitions as required.
• Developing project drawings and conduct 'design control check' on project drawings and submitting project deliverable documents for internal engineering reviews
• Creating part numbers for new material, maintaining material master and creating and releasing bill of materials (BOM).
• Issuing 'production master' folders with customer approved drawings to CSS Production Manager.
• Issuing 'Project Change Order
• Preparing packing lists and coordinating Warranty issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid knowledge of IEC and AS Standards
• Experienced with 3D CAD systems - both reviewing and design
• Sound knowledge of electrical systems with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Project Engineer in an engineering or technology based industry
• Experience in LV, MV transformers and switchgear would be considered a distinct advantage
