The Company:
Our client are global specialists within the Rotating Equipment / Mechanical Handling Equipment. We are looking to recruit a Technical Mechanical Project Engineer.

The Role:
Our client are global specialists within the Rotating Equipment / Mechanical Handling Equipment. We are looking to recruit a Technical Mechanical Project Engineer.
Key Tasks: -

• Manage and undertake a range off activities associated with the ongoing improvement of the clients pumping equipment.

• Assist Customer Support Manager to propose, develop and implement improvement activities.

• Participate-in/lead RCA investigations as necessary.

• Act as the technical focal point between technical team and the client to drive through improvements including retrofits, hydraulic re-rates and similar

• Ensure the Customer Support Manager and Customer is kept aware of the status of any technical activities being performed under the contract.

• Undertake occasional visits to offshore assets operated by the company to identify and implement improvement actions.

• Support and actively participate in the development and execution of client asset maintenance strategy including;

- Verification of Company Personnel Competence
- Review of Maintenance Routines
- Optimisation of Pump Inventory Management
- Preparation of Workpacks, Technical Documentation etc.

• Input of Information to support regular reporting of asset improvement activities

Continuous Improvement
• Support the company in its drive to create a better, more productive and safer working environment
• Embrace the Lean operating principles and seek to apply these in the work place
• Take an active part in improvement teams
• Apply 5S principles to improve safety and working methods
• Participate in team training and development events
• Encourage team working and seek to shared best practice with co-workers
• Solicit company performance feedback from customers and meet the FPAL reporting requirements as identified by the company


Qualifications/Experience/Specific Skills
Preferred: HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline
Trained in management practices
Essential: Excellent communication, interpersonal & organisational skills
Good technical knowledge of pumping systems
Strong Commercial Awareness
