The Role:
The Project Engineer is responsible for of all execution activities associated with assigned Management of Change (MoC) items within Surface Engineering throughout the full lifecycle.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for preparing budgets and timelines for execution activities in association with the Project Delivery Manager and will be responsible for assigned technical and financial deliverables.

• Plans and delivers Surface Engineering projects, fully integrated with other functions with supervision by Project Delivery Manager
• Accountable for delivery of project KPIs (HSE, performance, schedule, cost)
• Ensuring deliverables of self and others are appropriate to delivering functionally excellent results for assigned scopes
• Provides CAPEX budget forecasting support to the Project Delivery Manager
• Able to work on and solve complex problems in areas of expertise with no direct supervision
• Ability to multi-task across more than one project, recognising and balancing priorities and deadlines
• Close collaboration with engineering and construction contractors
• Broad range of facilities engineering knowledge and experience
• Participates in planning, scheduling and resourcing discussions

The Project Engineer would act as Responsible Engineer for all activities associated with the EOG Conwy Douglas Modifications and other scopes as deemed appropriate by management.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for brownfield modification scopes including:
• Working in close conjunction with the EPC contractor during FEED and implementation stages.
• Preparation of Scope of Work and Project Execution Plan for assigned scopes
• Delivery of project KPIs (HSE, performance, schedule, cost)
• Ensuring deliverables of self and others are appropriate to delivering functionally excellent results
• Providing CAPEX budget forecasting support to the Project Delivery Manager
• Close collaboration with HSE and Operations Teams to ensure safety, operability and maintainability, environmental and production requirements are delivered.
• Participation in planning, scheduling and resourcing discussions and monthly reporting
• Definition of commissioning procedures
• Update/creation of MCRs
• Update/creation of SOPs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HND or higher qualification
1. At least 10 years, preferably international, experience in the upstream petroleum industry on offshore and onshore projects
2. Significant hands-on experience within a variety of facilities engineering settings. Experience of engineering support role for an operating asset desirable.
3. Thorough knowledge of project development process and projects investment process.
4. A sound understanding of structure, key roles and deliverables of project teams
5. Ability to assess key risk factors associated with project development and execution for a mature asset

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Project Management Professional Qualification
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Chartered Engineer
