The Company:
Our Client is a large international Operating Company leading the development of a major oilfield in southern Iraq.

The Role:
Execution of the program of Engineering, Procurement and Construction of large Iraq Oil field facilities for the Mechanical Rotating Equipment discipline. Equipment includes Centrifugal Compressors, Pumps, Drivers and all Ancillary Equipment & Systems.

Oversee the execution of the Rotating Equipment discipline work carried out by the Contractor and review all associated documentation; provide guidance & comments to transmittals for incorporation into project documents within the contract time frame;


Carry out technical supervision of Rotating Equipment engineers for WQ-2 facilities to maximize project compliance with the Company specific requirements

Review and endorse designer's proposals based on the approved list of project standards;

Interface on behalf of the Company with Contractor in the event of detecting unacceptable deviations from codes & standards;

Develop and submit proposals to the Project Management on design process optimization and acceleration , ;

Report to the Project Management if any violations/deviations revealed from the previously approved specifications for resolution;

Monitor engineering schedule compliance and technical fulfillment by the design Contractor;

Review and harmonize interfaces with other projects, including all Variation Requests;

Participate in approval of & Witness Factory Acceptance Tests(FAT’s)

Support the concerned department in ensuring Contractor adherence to Preservation & Storage philosophy and Materials (Equipment) to deliver zero defects to the site;
Oversee designer’s quality supervision over engineering on mechanics during construction, installation, commissioning and start-up operations;

Provide timely engineering consultations within the approved list of standards;

Track, jointly with other services, the procedure for equipment usage for construction, installation, commissioning and start-up operations in strict compliance with manufacturers' recommendations and technical specifications; Report to the management on any violations/deviations detected during construction, installation, commissioning and start-up operations, as well as submit proposals on how to bring them in accordance with the existing regulations and standards;

Monitor timely transfer of the engineering documentation and equipment certificates performed by the designer; Compile lists of all missing engineering documentation and submit them to the management for subsequent delivery by the designer;

Suspend the use of equipment for construction, installation, commissioning and start-up operations if there is no acceptance control certificate or manufacturer's technical documentation;

Participate in preparation of bilateral or trilateral punch lists, oversee and participate in development and measures implementation to rectify all identified defects on mechanics;

Get directly involved in the activity of acceptance commissions;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified professional with sound Mechanical Rotating Equipment experience with large EPC / Operators.
