The Company:
Our client is an Operator.
The Project covers the development of a hydrocarbon field, located in the Basilicata region of Italy.
The Project development consists of:
- Six well sites and the gathering systems (flowlines) connecting the six existing wells, and two additional new wells 7 & 8 planned for the future.
- One Oil centre for the crude stabilization and treatment and export of the finished products.
- One LPG storage centre with truck loading facilities.

The Role:
The Mechanical Start Up Engineer Maintenance Engineer will work within a dedicated "task force" supporting the Operator's Site Maintenance organization and will report functionally to Maintenance Superintendent.
His/her tasks will be:
- Troubleshooting (either providing technical/theoretical support to Commissioning and Start-Up teams or applying a "hands-on" approach).
- Technical problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Be fully aware of Commissioning and Start-Up activities and possible issues/blocking-points.
- Dealing with Vendors to ensure follow-up for technical enquiries and pending points.
- Ensure a suitable follow-up for main packages warranty claims (Vendor/EPSCC).
- Collaborate with Commissioning and Start-Up teams to prepare project "punch list" and to follow-up solutions implementation and future implications on normal operation.
- Achieve a deep familiarization and knowledge of production facilities and main packages.
- Facilitate the transfer of information and technical knowledge from Commissioning and Start-Up to GMC personnel and COMPANY new staff, if needed.
- Preparation of REX (return of experience).

He/She will provide technical assistance & troubleshooting on the following items:
- Gas turbines (preferably industrial-type, in particular manufactured by SOLAR TURBINES).
- Steam turbines (preferably manufactured by GE-THERMODYN).
- Centrifugal compressors (preferably manufactured by GE-THERMODYN).
- Reciprocating compressors (preferably manufactured by GE-THERMODYN).
- Screw compressors (preferably manufactured by INGERSOLL-RAND and/or MAN).
- Air compressor packages.
- Pumps (centrifugal, volumetric).
- Dosing pumps (preferably manufactured by MILTON-ROY).
- Gearboxes.
- Power transmission couplings.
- Hydraulic power units.
- Diesel engines.
- Fan and Blowers.
- Heat exchangers (finned tubes, shell and tube, fan cooler, etc).
- Loading arms and vapours recovery arms.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 15 years of working experience in Oil & Gas industry (mechanical engineering related).
At least 10 years of Oil & Gas field experience including Commissioning, Start-Up and Maintenance.
PAV certification according to standard CEI 11-27.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge in vibrations analysis and condition monitoring Skills on machines alignment and balancing
Experience in facilities exposed to H2S Good fit to ensure effectiveness and safe work on the field.
Driving licence.
