The Company:
Our client is the largest gas producer in the Netherlands, with annual production of around 50 billion m³. 70 % of gas (37 billion m³) comes from the Groningen field and the rest from various smaller fields elsewhere on the mainland and in the North Sea (15 billion m³).

The Role:
The mechanical static equipment engineer will be focussed on realizing HSE, integrity, cost and availability performance in order to improve static mechanical aspects of the assets performance.

The successful incumbent will advice and discipline direction on matters of specification, design, selection, procurement, application and maintenance. He/she will Interface with technical authorities, operations & maintenance teams and the dedicated Integrated Service Contractor (ISC).
As a successful engineer you will:

. Maintain a close surveillance on integrity and functional performance of processing facilities

. Propose remedial actions for actual or anticipated problems

. Direct major equipment repairs and overhauls

. Witness major repairs, overhauls and factory acceptance tests at the manufacturer site

. Ensure optimal designs and testing and maintenance programs

. Provide discipline direction to definition of maintenance and inspection plans and strategies to ensure technical integrity of the CNNS assets

. Review works carried out by external consultants and manage specialist vendors and contractors

. Ensure asset maintenance reference plans (MRP) are populated with major static equipment scopes

. Develop best practice standards, tools, processes, models and data

. May have to act as an asset Technical Authority (TA), if you possess relevant experience and competencies as required

However, candidates not meeting the requirements to act as TA will be expected to develop necessary competencies to allow them to take on this role in the future.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An ideal candidate should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline or equivalent. Preferably should be a Chartered Engineer or be working towards the status.

As a successful incumbent you should

. Have an extensive work experience preferably in Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry with substantial experience in developing and managing vessel and piping systems including their inspection and repair
. Be able to offer a demonstrable record of achievement with a strong bias towards static mechanical engineering with an in-depth knowledge
. Natural self starter with ability to work within a matrix organization with excellent communication skills

. Be robust to protect Asset’s integrity and be able to offer right advice when required

. Ability to identify, prioritize and deliver on time
