The Role:
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment) to join the Discipline Engineering team of the company, and who will be dedicated to providing engineering services and support to the Project Facility. Upstream International operates, maintains and modifies producing and processing facilities in the Central and Northern North Sea, onshore in Scotland and in the Republic of Ireland. Responsibilities: The prime function of the role is to provide first line mechanical static (pressurised equipment) maintenance and engineering support and direction for the Project facility. This support will be focused on realising asset specific HSE, integrity, cost and availability performance. It will also involve significant interfacing with the Integrated Services Contractor for the review and approval of maintenance and modification work.
You will:
• Operate, after an evaluation and examination period, at an assurance level of Technical Authority (Level 3), for asset specific deviations .
• Contribute to installation specific Maintenance Reference Plans and develop and implement corporate maintenance strategies
• Coordinate input to Integrity Key Performance Indicators and resolve shortcomings
• Participate and contribute to procurement, design, HAZOP, RRM, audits
• Review, analyse and direct actions based on inspection results
• Solve people issues with diversity factors such as culture, expertise and challenge by stakeholders

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are seeking an engineer with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering subject, and who is experienced in engineering of mechanical static equipment for the Oil and Gas business, e.g. piping systems or pressure vessels . Experience with the operation and maintenance of this equipment is highly desirable. It is further desirable for you to be a Chartered Engineer or of equivalent status, or working towards the status. You must have excellent written and verbal communications skills

Your experiences which would be beneficial are:
• Insight in various degradation mechanisms of mechanical equipment and applicable repair methods
• Understand fitness for purpose assessments and provide a fast response on integrity related issues
• Maintain standards, procedures and contract plans
• Identifying equipment obsolescence issues and managing equipment replacement
