The Company:
With operations across the world, our client uses innovation and technology to deliver energy to a growing world. They are currently leading an integrated LNG Project in PNG that includes gas production and processing facilities including liquefaction and storage facilities.

The Role:
A Structural or Mechanical Engineer is required for a long term contract in Papua New Guinea. Initially for two years, the role maybe extended up to a further 5 years. The role is ideally on a residential assignment but may be offered on a rotational basis.

The main responsibilities are:

• Plan and steward corrosion control and integrity management related tasks (material selection, coating repairs, cathodic protection surveys, chemical inhibition, non-destructive testing, corrosion surveillance/monitoring, seismic monitoring, slope stability assessments, geotechnical surveys, river bed scouring/depth of cover surveys, ROV surveys, pipeline right-of-way patrols, critical freespan analysis, finite element analysis, failure analysis, risk assessment, fitness-for-service evaluations, reliability analysis, positive materials identification, equipment/maintenance strategy development, etc.)
• Specify key performance indicators and targets
• Provide risk management guidance and recommend mitigating actions
• Identify cost saving opportunities
• Administer third-party contracts (engineering, procurement, construction, non-destructive testing, geotechnical surveys, cathodic protection surveys, coating repair, welding, oilfield chemicals, ROV surveys, etc.)
• Optimize and continuously improve integrity management systems
• Direct work performed technicians, and third-party contractors
• Assist with mentoring and development of junior engineers and technicians

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experinec with Oil & Gas facilities in an operational phase but will also have

• Integrity management and/or reliability engineering experience (surveillance, monitoring, risk-based inspection, fitness-for-service, failure analysis, etc.)
• Corrosion control experience (chemical inhibition, cathodic protection, coatings, etc.)
• Pipelines design and operating experience
• Facilities design and operating experience
• Civil, structural and/or geotechnical design and operating experience
• Marine and/or subsea design and operating experience
• Design and engineering management experience
