The Company:
Our client has been active in the Dutch sector of the North Sea since 1964 and operates nine offshore production and exploration licenses. In addition, they have interests in seventeen non-operated production and exploration licenses.

The Role:
• Ensure the integrity and reliability of Dana Petroleum NL production facilities by ensuring that proper inspection and maintenance procedures are in place, prepared and executed.
• Prepare and implement small technical modification work (technical ‘Change Requests’)
• Provide expertise and support to the offshore crews and onshore support staff on maintenance related issues.

This results in the following tasks:
• Contribute in the upkeep and improvement of the overall level of safety awareness. Promote and actively participate in the upkeep and improvement of the overall level of safety management; making full use of LPM and IMS to ensure that all activities meet Dana Petroleum Netherlands’ HSEQ standards.
• Manage assigned maintenance contracts in conjunction with Dana NL procedures to ensure goods and services are provided with the desired quality at acceptable cost (according to the OPEX budget). Assess visit reports and provide follow-up on vendor recommendations.
• Coordinate all aspects (planning, offshore visits, administration, follow up) of the rolling 5 year topsides structural inspection program.
• Coordinate all aspects (planning, offshore visits, administration, follow up) of the annual internal vessel inspection program.
• Coordinate all aspects (planning, offshore visits, administration, follow up) of the annual wall thickness measurement & dye penetration inspection program.
• Coordinate painting works (if assigned to).
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and notified bodies on platform structural and maintenance issues.
• Act as onshore shutdown coordinator for assigned shutdowns.
• Responsible for the upkeep of technical documentation, P&ID’s, diagrams, maintenance manuals, etc. in area of expertise, in close cooperation with the document controller.
• Act as Technical Authority for assigned documents and/or systems.
• Responsible to maintain validity of certificates of equipment in area of expertise by planning, scheduling and arranging timely inspection by relevant authorities.
• Address assigned actions resulting from incident reviews.
• Generate & implement improvement initiatives based on (root cause) analysis of cost drivers (maintenance cost) and technically related performance killers (deferment/losses), in close cooperation with the offshore Maintenance Supervisors/Operators

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Formal technical training on at least Middle Technical School level (discipline mechanical engineering).
• 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance engineering function in the upstream oil & gas/process industry.
• Working knowledge of offshore mechanical systems; HVAC systems, rotating and lifting equipment including pumps, compressors, power turbines, and cranes.
• Working knowledge of pressure vessels and piping systems, as well as associated legal inspection requirements (Pressure Equipment Directive/Warenwetbesluit).
• Working knowledge on managing structural inspections and liaising with notifying bodies.
• Working knowledge on corrosion management (protection systems)
• Good command of the English and DUTCH language, written and spoken.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Regular offshore visits are required as part of the job requiring medical certificate/fitness and offshore safety training to be valid and maintained
