The Role:
Day to day operational tactical support for platform, dealing with mechanical equipment issues, resolutions and improvements utilising own and vendor experience. Assist in work planning and management through CMMS system. Assist in strategic support for equipment process, strategy and procedure developments, reviews and improvements.

Interface management between offshore teams, client, onshore teams (cross asset) & vendors for maximising equipment and process efficiencies and improving Process Safety.

Main Duties:
◦Is the first point of contact for Mechanical related maintenance and technical support to the onshore and offshore teams. Takes ownership of issues/problems and ensures timely and effective solutions are identified, successfully implemented and closed out. Assists in setting work priorities and meeting required targets for completion.

◦Responsible for Co-ordinating all mechanical related support activities on a day to day and long term basis utilising all forms of communications links such as morning calls, meetings, conference calls etc

◦Ensure that the Mechanical equipment condition and performance monitoring program in place, is being monitored, trended and that appropriate on-condition remedial or improvement action is taken.

◦Co-ordinate all planned inspection, maintenance and repair programmes for the Mechanical discipline areas of responsibility.

◦Coordinate all remedial and / or improvement actions arising from maintenance and inspection integrity issues or equipment breakdown for all Mechanical equipment and processes.

◦Ensure Mechanical related equipment integrity, reliability, availability and performance targets are achieved.

◦Monitor the maintenance and achievement of all Mechanical related performance standards. Take appropriate action if standards not achieved.

◦Identify recurring problems and issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Co Ordinate RCA's for Mechanical related activities when necessary and ensure that effective solutions are implemented.

◦Take personal responsibility for promoting and supporting continuous improvement activities within all aspects of the business.

◦Manage budgets for Mechanical related support service contracts and planned/corrective maintenance. Is accountable for the delivery of the work within the defined budget.

◦Develop, plan, prepare and close out campaigns for equipment maintenance and overhaul. Responsible for support contractor mobilisations, material availability and workpacks production.

◦Maintain Mechanical related equipment reliability, availability and performance data, monitor and trend. Utilise this data to produce a discipline asset integrity monthly report.

◦Review and improvement of maintenance strategies, procedures and routines related to Mechanical equipment, processes and systems.

◦Provide input / advice on materials control and routine spares holdings for all Mechanical equipment.

◦Interfacing with company Engineering and Construction, Venture and Sevan design TA Groups/teams to provide best fit solutions and early maintainability input into designs and equipment issues. Compile progress reports and workpacks for minor modifications as defined within the MOC process. Monitor and report on progress and perform close out activities as necessary.

◦Regularly communicate with the Planning / MAXIMO Co-ordinator on all requisite matters relating to Mechanical works, attending weekly planning & backlog meetings and provide required input into the asset planning and work management processes on a timely basis.

◦Ensuring accurate and timely response and closure to all Mechanical related verification and integrity actions.

◦Communicate with and manage Mechanical vendor related support contracts and co ordinate works as required. Produce regular reports on status, performance and forecasting. Perform &/or ensure performance of all close out requirements for these works.

◦Perform regular onshore & offshore audits of Mechanical equipment and related data to verify quality, integrity, standards and compliance within Maximo for PMV pass/fail, maintenance history, data quality etc.

◦Liaise with and assist other asset support engineers, offshore teams, responsible O&M and Design TA's as required for problem identification/resolution.

◦Provide technical input for all Mechanical related maintenance deferrals and PMCR processes.

◦Monitor and input to the management of backlog and compliance levels within agreed targets for all Mechanical equipment.

◦Responsible for development, co ordination and implementation of installation Mechanical related TAR activities as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BSc (hons), B Eng M Eng or similar. A degree course that satisfies the academic requirements of the Engineering Institutions for chartered status
Associate member of an Engineering Institution at an appropriate level
BSc in an appropriate subject together with relevant experience and job responsibilities
HND/HNC in engineering or equivalent with considerable experience and job responsibilities in relevant engineering and maintenance positions.
Experience of FPSO operations
Investigations and auditing training
Report and technical workpack writing skills
Selection and use of Maintenance Strategies including an understanding of Reliability Modelling, RCM, FMEA and criticality techniques in general
Supervision of maintenance/engineering Teams, including development of personnel
Evidence of expertise such as maintaining Rotating Machines, Instruments or Electrical equipment
Management of sub-contractors
Management of budgets
