Job Title: Mechanical Support/Improvement Engineer

The Role:
the main purpose of the role will be identifying issues and threats to safe, reliable operation, and developing & implementing solutions.
Main Duties:
Developing detailed scopes & plans for Asset Plan activities to enable safe, efficient execution
Periodically acting as offshore Project Manager for execution of specific mechanical scopes
Providing mechanical input to Work Liquidation feasibility project team, including scoping of work
Working in partnership with ‘front-line' asset onshore support team to assist in resolving day-to-day operational problems
Providing planning input to outages and Turnarounds
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Must have a strong HS&E focus
Minimum HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Current survival/medical and willing to go offshore
Experience:
Previous experience within a similar role in the North Sea oil and gas industry.
Offshore experience required, including FPSO or similar marine experience
Personal Skills:
Good team worker
Ability to accommodate high workload
Attention to detail in planning and execution, efficiency and cost focus is essential
