The Role:
80% Construction Technical Responsibilities
• Member of the Train 1 Construction Team responsible for project engineering coordination with a primary focus on the MEG Tank & Fired Heater scope. Works directly with the contractor and sub-contractors’ teams to oversee the day-to-day activities.
• Reports to ACM and is expected to support issue resolution and improvements in a multi- discipline environment (primarily in the piping scope). Assures work execution status and progress reporting is accurate and aligns with priorities and milestones.
• Provides day to day instruction and guidance to a team of Supervisors (across all disciplines) and act as 2IC to the ACM when required in representing the Team at Project reviews and meetings.
• Identifies issues associated with meeting construction execution, cost, and schedule objectives and provide recommendations to overcome any gaps. Prepares and manages notices of non-conformance (NC) and Requests For Information (RFIs). Prepares the scope of work for site change notices and oversees the resultant implementation and work execution.
• Interfaces with the site Technical Services team for subject matter support. Is responsible for the “how” and “when” of what is being constructed, with the “what” managed by Technical Services team.
• Interfaces with the Perth-based Procurement, Project Controls and Contracts management teams to understand and support material supply, schedule, cost, and construction philosophies related to the construction scope of work.
• Ensures facilities are constructed per applicable industry specifications and standards. Interfaces with the Quality team in matters related to conformance in assigned work scope areas and construction standards and methodologies. Assists in the conduct of Quality audits.
• Effectively manages and controls change. Applies Project Development and Execution Process (PDEP) and Capital Stewardship principles to maintain effective communications and the free flow of information between work groups in order to assess and minimize the impact of concession requests, schedule changes, and technical interface queries.

20% Health, Safety, Environment and Quarantine (HSEQ)
• Manages the day-to-day interface with both contractors and subcontractors, providing a focus on safety, environment and quarantine together with quality and engineering aspects. Assures that contractor and subcontractors environment, safety, health and quarantine deliverables and compliance requirements are established and maintained.
• Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
• Familiar with Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) tools. Participates in the site Total Safety Task Observation (TSTO), Step Back 5X5 and Hazard Intervention and Reporting Card (HIRC) processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
in consideration of this the minimum requirements include:
• 20+ years site construction experience (within a LNG environment)
• Experience within the Construction industry, specifically for construction of LNG plants and knowledgeable with industry construction methods and procedures
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate and multi task key deliverables and timelines within a multidiscipline team of field supervisors and contractors; accountable for the successful implementation of the project's construction execution philosophy and completions programme.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams and coordinating the efforts of others to achieve a common goal
• Good understanding and able to read Engineering drawings
• Proven record of consistently meeting quality, construction and schedule goals
• MUST have good organisational skills and able to keep clear and precise records and quality documentation
• Competency in the use of common computer systems and software
