The Role:
Job Description

My client requires an MEI QC Lead who will be responsible for

• Promoting safety awareness and being familiar with the general safety requirements outlined in the project HSEQ plan.
• Providing QA/QC support to their respective SCM, ACM in accordance with the area priority of works.
• In conjunction with SCM, ACM identifying additional long to medium term QA/QC resource requirements 3 months in advance of need and communicating the requirements to the QC Surveillance Manager and Quality Manager.
• Liaison as required with Technical Services Engineers for clarification of engineering and design issues, and expediting of NCR dispositions in their area
• Defining and allocating discipline inspectors their QAIQC scope of work and to respective work faces as agreed with
• Coordinating QAIQC kick off meetings with contractors as they mobilt se to site and/or opening of new work faces to ensure contractor awareness of the relevant project specifications and site expected requirements, ITP's, FIC's, ITR's
• Review Supplier I Contractor Quality Documentation prior to work starting, and continuous progressive reviews.
• Conduct site surveillance audits on contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (or equivalent} in an Engineering discipline;
• Solid understanding of Quality Management System, ISO 9001, implementing and auditing.
• Solid background and good understanding of Construction activities on large EPCM construction projects.
• Proactive approach to resolving quality issues. Formal safety training
• Ability to coordinate multiple discipline inspectors
• Ability to coordinate inspections on materials arriving on site
• Ability to coordinate cross checking programs on contractors
• Ability to coordinate and track the allocation of QA/QC test equipment and tools of the trade
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar supervisory role;

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel;
• Effective communication and reporting skills;
• Previous experience of working within multicultural organization.
