The Role:
An opportunity is currently available for a MEIC Construction Manager to join the Gorgon construction Team.

In this role you will be responsible for the following;

Contributes to the development, implementation and oversight of tactical decisions and objectives for safety, schedule, cost and quality for all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning construction activity within the specific portfolio in supporting the delivery of the approved 30-day look-ahead schedule.
• Ensures that site procedures are developed, in place and implemented to protect Company interests and assets.
• Responsible for document controls and reporting as well as site project controls, quality, and overall construction productivity within specific portfolio.
• Identifies, manages and mitigates all interfaces with other disciplines and contractors in the day to day execution of the work to ensure best for Project decision in face of competing priorities and maximum compliance with the 30-day look-ahead schedule.
• In association with the Area Manager and Senior Construction Manager MEIC, expedites all necessary design and/or engineering solutions and responses, procurement, quality performance, systems completion and the like to facilitate the effective transition and compliance of the works to the commissioning phase.
• Responsible for overall delivery performance of the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Commissioning discipline team. Health, Safety, Environment and Quarantine (HSEQ)
• Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
• Promotes a positive HSEQ culture by active participation in the development, implementation and engagement of the company’s Health, Environmental Protection, Safety and Quarantine policies and procedures.
• Conducts HSEQ audits and reviews.
• Leads and actively participates in incident investigations for incidents.
• Works directly with contractors on HSEQ behaviours and culture to improve overall performance. Provides the necessary support to the Senior Construction Manager MEIC on Barrow Island, and interfaces as necessary with the Area Manager providing the necessary feedback by way of contractor performance, issues that might impede contractor’s progress, any competing priorities for resources, materials, lay-down, access and the like. In particular is intimate with the following activities to ensure the construction activities associated with the scope are conducted for best overall construction performance (safety, Incident and Injury Free, Contractor Health, Environment and Safety Management, schedule, quality and cost) in a safe and cost effective manner:

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You must have the following experience:

• 25+ years site construction experience
• 15+ years as a Construction Manager
• Competent in the use of common computer systems and software,
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and a keen understanding of construction management, sequencing and methodologies,
• Good knowledge of LNG construction is preferable and experience in dealing / interfacing with Contractors, and Well developed communication and interpersonal relationship skills

Additional Comments: Position duration is 12months, based on BWI working a 12hour day on a 28/28 roster.
