The Role:
Metering Team Leader - The Overview

The role of the Metering Team Leader is to, in line with The company Values and Goals and keeping Safety at the forefront of any activity, implement fiscal and non-fiscal measurement of hydrocarbons to relevant industry and E&P standards and guidelines. Adoption of common standards, processes and system across E&P. Manage various metering service contracts and workload delivery across E&P.


Metering Team Leader - The Role

Manage and lead an E&P metering team comprising indirect/direct reports and be responsible for ensuring that the following key activities are performed to the highest standard, across the UK-NL, and Norway Regions.

• Adoption of a centralised tool to track audit findings, dispensations, PON6’s, mis-measurements process
• Build a centralised map of infrastructure, metering locations and throughputs for E&P
• Adoption and implementation of E&P standard processes and procedures
• Adoption and implementation of E&P standards, metering systems/databases
• Adoption and implementation of the production loss reporting tool (in conjunction with the OE Team)
• Contract owner for all metering service contracts
• Clear roles & responsibilities for E&P metering personnel
• Accountable for management of E&P metering workload and resourcing to ensure compliance with current DECC &; relevant industry standards and guidelines
• Liaise with metering function and metering TA to ensure compliance with and adoption of E&P specific standards, processes and procedures
• Accountable for adoption and establishment of E&P specific metering competency programmes by liaising with metering function and TA
Key deliverables of role:

• Manage the team of both direct and indirect reports effectively adopting the CE Way Management behaviours
• Compliance with DECC & relevant industry guidelines/standards
• Ensuring all contractual obligations are met consistently without business interruption
• A good interface is maintained with all external and internal stakeholders


Metering Team Leader - The Person

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
• Chartered engineer
• Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control
• Strong E&P metering experience and leadership skills
• Knowledge of metering hardware and IT systems
• E&P metering skills, experience and credibility including expertise in the area of flow measurement. Experience should include relevant metering standards and industry practise
• Excellent people management and communications skills
• Good collaboration and team working skills
