The Role:
Reporting directly to the project Engineering Manager, the postholder is responsible for the identification and coordination of the delivery of the projects and modifications scopes to be executed during the intervention. A key requirement of the role is assurance that scopes comply with the change control processes and can be delivered, both in time and in their intent.

The coordination duty covers all sources of modifications - the asset, functions, Regional Projects or project team managed changes. It also covers the identification of key elements of execution include the phasing of execution, timely gate passage through the asset 20Q and the incorporation of TAR dependencies into the appropriate TAR programmes.

• The postholder will, primarily, be responsible for coordinating and expediting modifications that are to be executed in part or whole during the intervention period.
• The postholder will establish lines of communication, meeting schedules and status reporting with the SPAs for each modification or project and ensure the two way flow of information necessary to integrate the changes into the overall project intervention programme.
• The postholder will work with those responsible for delivery of the workscopes - the asset, functions and Regional Projects - on the development of a coherent plan that draws together all phasing of the jobs, from initiation through to closeout and will be tracked by the postholder to ensure they remain on schedule or that appropriate recovery or deferral actions are taken.
• The postholder will be sufficiently familiar with each modification or project to be able to identify and optimise the impact and interaction of the scopes with concurrent and consecutive activities of other workscopes.
• The postholder will feed the modifications/project schedules, demands, interactions (such as TAR content) into the project intervention integrated plan and ensure that clashes and/or priorities are resolved and are fed back into the relevant modification/project plans.
• The postholder will track, report and expedite the jobs through their stages, ensuring that deliverables – such as eMOCs, POs, HSE reviews/impact assessments, TBRAs, workpacks, prefabrications, FATs, lifting plans – are completed and feeding the status into the bookies board and the integrated plan.
• The postholder will ensure compliance (by auditable due processes) of all modifications and projects with BP standards/practices and their governing modifications/projects processes and that any changes/anomalies are addressed/formally cleared.
• The postholder will maintain contact with the project team to learn from their experiences.
• Engagement with the SPAs and ensuring appropriate resources are applied to meet schedules.
• Overcoming the performance inertia of the incumbent engineering contractors.
• Ensuring adequate funding and resourcing of the work.
• Realistic budgeting and scheduling of the work.
• The postholder needs to understand and improve how the work being executed in the intervention fits within with the longer term 20Q and development plans.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An experienced Project Engineering with specific knowledge of the industry and preferably ETAP specific systems and equipment.
