The Company:

The Role:
The range and complexity of the construction project necessitates a highly professional Modifications Manager to ensure that the engineering and technical aspects are specified and executed in a cost-effective and controlled manner, meeting all statutory and Company standards. The identification and adoption of best practices in engineering and technology is also an important objective to the team.

• SGP Modifications EPIC (Engineering/ Procurement/ Installation/ Construction) contract
• To ensure that the objectives for health safety and environment during design, construction, installation and testing of equipment are maintained
• To manage the EPIC contract with the aim of remaining within the agreed budget and schedule for completion and in line with SOR
• Liaise with the Project/ Package Manager on a day to day basis providing feedback on EPIC contractor design construction, installation and testing phases
• Liaise with the IVB on design issues with regard to the modifications design and construction
• Ascertain contractor progress and produce reports as required throughout the duration of the project
• Responsible for the mobilization, organization and management of the team required to undertake the workscope on site
• Liaise with Operations to ensure work programmes are developed and prioritization of tasks agreed
• To ensure all necessary technical reviews are planned and executed, and actions closed out in a systematic manner
• Ensure the team are made aware of their individual duties and responsibilities and are competent to meet the project deliverables
• To ensure that engineering deliverables produced by the EPIC Contractor are properly reviewed by appropriately qualified personnel within the specified time period, against agreed criteria in liaison with the Engineering Manager
• In liaison with the Engineering Manager ensure technical responses to Contractor technical queries, derogations are responded to in a timely manner
• Ensure Commissioning activities are anticipated and interface with Operations is managed
• Ensure attendance by competent engineering/ inspection personnel for inspections, SIT and FAT when required
• To provide engineering support to construction and commissioning teams until handover to Operations
• Assist Lead Commissioning Engineer with the commissioning plan through company requirements
• Ensure handover documentation for modifications is approved by Operations and that as built documents are issued

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in relevant engineering disciplines below
• Chartered Engineer in one of the disciplines below
• Knowledge of the concerned engineering disciplines; Structural, process, Piping, Corrosion/ metallurgy, Electrical/ Instrumentation and Mechanical/ Rotating Equipment
• Significant Project Management experience
• Extensive industrial experience with previous experience of management of operations/ projects
