Assignment description:
Statoil’s MODU New Builds group (MNB), a project group responsible for development and project management for Mobile Offshore Drilling Units New build program, has currently a high workload with studies for customized design development and technical support/contract follow up of rig new builds for operation in NCS waters.

The Rig Electrical, instrument and telecom engineer will have following responsibilities and tasks:
• Member of the MODU Newbuild group and responsible for coordinating for EIT issues in the project
• Participate in MC and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems (High and low voltage, EX equipment, LV-VFD, PMS, DP, F&G ESD)
• Preferably knowledge to IEC-61892 and DNV OS requirements
• Secure optimal solutions within project goals and execution plan
• Assist with interface requirements, ie utility stations IO room etc.
• Risk identification input and project verifications according to MODU project execution model.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Competence requirements:
• Documented experience and good understanding of Norwegian and international legislation within the above mentioned systems on semisub drilling rigs
• Documented project experience from similar new build projects and operational experience
