The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Module Yard Representative. The primary focus of this position is to provide construction and Fabrication expertise to both the contractor and company teams, utilizing an array of experience so as to ensure the best and most cost effective construction methods are used during OBT and through to EPC execution.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
The Module Yard Representative will be responsible for the overseeing the EPC Contractor with fabrication, assembly , testing and delivery of the Modules at the nominated module yard to site and will report to the Fabrication Manager.
This position will be initially based in Japan and will relocate to a fabrication site in SE Asia (site TBD) for 24 to 36 months during the term of the project.
Work with Engineering and Fabrication Teams for the review all deliverables for Constructability, Code compliance and to ensure deliverables schedule was maintained.
Work with Materials/ Procurement group to ensure material/ equipment ROS dates are maintained.
Assist in the Tender evaluation process.
Assist with the development of the Fabrication execution plan, procedures, mobilization schedule and work with the Fabrication Manager to ensure all procedures, systems and processes are in place prior to mobilization to fabrication yard.
The Module Yard Representative will ensure that the intent of the Contract is maintained, to culminate in a timely completion of a quality product, executed safely and within budget.
Coordinate all interfaces with Project team, Construction and Engineering team and other third parties to ensure full visibility is maintained and full awareness achieved with all interested parties.
Ensure monthly and weekly progress is reported.
Ensure that Contractors schedule and sub contractors schedule is fully aligned with the over all Project schedule and to highlight any potential deviations in a timely fashion.
Approve documents and procedures prepared by the Contractor.
Ensure that project objectives are achieved and are in accordance with Company and Statutory requirements.
Assist in early identification of potential problems, discuss alternative solutions and provide guidance in preparing plans of action and assignment of responsibilities so as to avoid adverse impact.
Ensure that Contractor's progress and productivity measurement system functions correctly and ensure that the system is monitored continuously so as to be assured that performance is optimized.
Ensure that Quality assurance (QA) is established, used and maintained to document that all contractual requirements are met by the Contractor.
Develop strong working relationships within the Onshore Team to present a cohesive interface with other key aspects of the project such as Construction, Engineering, Project Services and Contracts.
Provide fabrication 'role model' for other team members.
As the project moves from engineering phase to construction phase this role will manage the main contractor at a nominated module yard and provide the interface between management in construction/fabrication and field engineering.
Manage the fabrication safely to timely completion within approved budget while achieving the required quality, HSES and environment standards.
Manage personnel assigned to the fabrication team. Ensure appropriate expertise and manning of the project at all times. Promote a teamwork environment.
Actively foster a team work approach within the onshore team and as interface with other functional teams within the Perth operations.
Actively mentor junior engineers as required from time to time.
Encourage the development of joint Contractor/Company team effort aimed at achieving Contract objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in engineering (or similar).
Extensive experience in fabrication, construction and engineering on onshore LNG projects and others so as to ensure the construction methods used are best practice.
Demonstrable Module Construction experience in provision of construction, fabrication & engineering advice for onshore LNG projects
