Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
SCOPE OF ROLE

The jobholder is responsible for supporting the long term Motorsport Marketing strategy and the subsequent coordination of a global launch activity plan for Motorsport products and programmes ensuring return on investment. This is a coordinating facilitator role that encompasses accountability for planning and coordination of Motorsport Marketing plans for the company. The role has direct responsibility to ensure the maximum global market impact and efficient use of available resources to meet the company wholesale/retail targets as well as Bentley Brand positioning.

This role requires direct collaboration across the Motorsport team, Marketing Communications, Product Marketing, Sales Planning, Regional Teams (including any other key customer stakeholder, in particular: PR, Regional teams, Aftersales and Business Development) and relevant stakeholders (in particular: Sponsors, race teams).


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Motorsport Marketing Strategy activation

- Support the development and activation of an integrated, cross-functional long-term Motorsport Marketing strategy to benefit the company from return to racing
- Ensure C.I. guidelines are up to date and applied in the Motorsport environment
- Ensure the Motorsport Marketing activities fits within the wider scope of Motorsport activities

Events and race support

- Delivery of a comprehensive Motorsport Marketing activity plan – with timings and budget – to deliver against Motorsport Marketing strategy and in line with Brand Strategy
- Investigate digital opportunities and develop a dealer online network and database supporting dealers with sales process and customer teams arrive/drive packages
- Ensure all business communication channels have the relevant market intelligence and information to aid motorsport positioning and contribute positively to commercial Motorsport strategy

Stakeholder Engagement

- Responsible for collaboration with key customer stakeholders and developing trust of delivery amongst the stakeholders including but not limited to; Motorsport Project, regions, Marketing Communications, Live Events, Communications (public relations), Finance, Luxury Goods and Brand Extension, CRM and Prospecting
- Marketing support to: Works race teams, Official Racing Partner race teams, Customer/private race teams
- Responsible for engaging employees into motorsport activities and contributing to the company strategy by increasing the employee satisfaction

Sponsorship

- Support in the prospection/acquisition process including relation with potential sponsors
- Relationship with acquired sponsors and act as key point of contact for all activation matters: e.g. tickets for races, sponsor events materials, showcar allocation and transport etc.
- Maximise partnerships return by constantly monitoring activation costs against targets and plan

Activity review & measurement

- Review success of plans and measure return on objectives and return on investment in conjunction with Finance
- Monitor and benchmark competitor activities from car racing and other sports environment (e.g. boat racing)


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- General Motorsport experience is a key factor
- Experience dealing with sponsors is a plus
- Experience dealing with race teams is a plus
- Demonstrable experience within a Motorsport / Marketing role within the automotive sector
- Very strong interpersonal, networking, influencing and presentational skills
- Field experience in area of sales/dealer contact of benefit
- Strong project management, planning and communication skills
- Ability to manage a complex network of relationships both internally and externally
- Build trust and respect with stakeholder, peer and subordinate groups
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Detail orientated with a strong sense of initiative
- Problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong channel management required
- Attention-to-detail and passion-to-drive, self-starter with exceptional organisational and analytical skills


PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- Confident user of all key Microsoft Office programmes and web literate
- Extensive experience in Motorsport
- Must be able to demonstrate enthusiastic and flexible approach to working practices


QUALIFICATIONS

- A Marketing degree or equivalent education required
- Institute of Marketing Diploma or international equivalent preferred but not essential
- Fully fluent in English
