MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Provide a flexible, responsive and professional service to Motorsport in build, update, testing and event support. Multi-skilled in application of role and operates in a safe and conscientious manner in line with business practices.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate in Accordance with Work Request Processes

  • Understand and operate in accordance with area Work Request Process. Report and make recommendations as required.
  • Totally flexible to carry out planned work and respond professionally to changing requirements to ensure all targets are met. Plan / prioritise time with consultation and agreement.
  • Use own initiative and skills to work alone and in teams to see jobs to completion.
  • Always follow and adhere to process documentation and update information if changes occur.
  • Provide feedback in a clear and concise manor on feasibility / problems encountered using different media.
  • Use knowledge and experience to determine the most efficient way of carrying out tasks ensuring completion to customer requirements.

Always Works to Safe and Environmental Practices

  • Wear appropriate PPE, work within Health & Safety standards (Risk Assessments).
  • Report all accidents and near misses to supervision.
  • Assist in prevention activities; e.g. Risk Assessments.
  • Assist with safety reviews ensuring a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Have a good understanding of all facility equipment.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the equipment for which directly responsible.
  • Maintain TPM's for equipment.
  • Pro-active in approach to maintenance and seek resolution to faults found.
  • Compliance with TS16949 and other relevant quality standards.

  • Actively put ideas forward in direct and indirect areas of responsibility.
  • Actively seeks opportunities, engages in / leads continuous improvement activities to achieve cost, quality, process and/or efficiency improvements using appropriate techniques and documentation.

  • React promptly to highlighted concerns and act to rectify.
  • Always record good quality information on resolutions/modifications/service use.


Responsible to find appropriate solutions to problems

  • Actively participate in and/or lead problem resolution activities.
  • Identify & communicate concerns and recommend potential solutions.
  • Demonstrates a logical path to problem solving by using appropriate documentation as required.


Coach/Mentor & train in appropriate skills

  • Actively contribute to learning and changing culture.
  • Support training in appropriate skills base.
  • Take a pro-active approach to own development in area of responsibility.
  • Take part in structured training, internal and external.
  • Participate in and support PDR process by actively seeking feedback to assist in on-going development of competencies, technical and professional skills, in line with skills matrix.
  • Flexible to learn new skills and implement new systems to develop the process/business.

  • Significant skill in a Motorsport related area.
  • Technical expertise in one or more highly valued areas.
  • Responsible to facilitate knowledge transfer of skill / experience.
  • Communication and influencing skills which are utilised up to senior levels across the business.
  • Qualified by Apprenticeship / extensive experience and skill and/or similar in a Core Skill.
  • Experienced/Assessed/Competent in a Second Skill.
  • Problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
  • PC Skills (role specific).
