The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This new role will allow the successful applicant to gain extensive exposure to the wider business whilst being responsible for leading the management of all pre-production vehicles that support all MS&S events around the world.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Lead (in conjunction with our clients Launch Management Team) the deployment of an end to end process of managing M&S pre-production vehicles (VP, TT, PP through to J1 vehicles).
- Optimise vehicle usage and build phase efficiency to minimise the number and cost of pre-production MS&S vehicles.
- Work with regional product managers to determine the best import/export and registration option. Manage the end of use plan for vehicles after they have finished their working activity with our client e.g. scrap, re-use or rework through to re-sale.
- Develop synthetic vehicle usage plans to aid budget submission and to challenge vehicle quantities required based on previous programmes.
- Manage the vehicle budget, liaising with Finance and other departments to ensure budgets are managed correctly.
- Liaise with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure delivery of MS&S vehicles is on time and to the correct level of quality.
- Ensure vehicle ordering is managed correctly including correct vehicle specifications and fleet/market codes are used.
- Track the build of the vehicles to ensure timings are met.
- Work with Vehicle Operations to ensure vehicles are available and prepared to a representative standard before shipment to different markets.
- Manage everyday usage of the vehicles both in market and centrally through our Fleet Management System, FMS as applicable.
- Aid the ongoing delivery and enhancement of our clients Launch Planning Process as well as other core Launch Management activities.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work independently.
- Good logistic management skill, thorough and logical approach to issues, good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Capable of representing MS&S in meetings with confidence and credibility.
- Flexible with respect to travel (Whitley, Browns Lane, Solihull & Castle Bromwich).
- Full driving license.
- Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of vehicle systems (dealer and central) including FMS, desirable.
- Knowledge of ATO ordering process, desirable.
- Knowledge of Marketing Sale & Service structure, Manufacturing structure and PD structure, desirable.
- Knowledge of fleet management and co-ordination internationally.
- Evidence of developing and managing budgets, desirable.

Location: Whitley with minimal travel to other plants
