Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer who will be dedicated to selling MV Drive project packages across a variety of industrial sectors – such as Oil & Gas, Utilities, and others. The successful candidate will be required to develop sales of MV Drives via direct and indirect channels and look to promote MV Drives to a variety of key industry players, i.e. Consultants, EPCs, OEMs, End Users.

Key duties will include:

- Analysing customer requirements / specifications to optimise the solution offered.
- Conduct customer visits (individual or with local Account Managers or Sales Managers)
- Locating and targeting potential customers within the market place
- Delivering presentations to customers based on service offerings which will include products and services
- Win orders to achieve budget objectives in respect of order volumes and profitability.
- Produce technical and commercial quotations to clients
- Participate in Bid tendering and provide support for large projects
- Provide technical support in defining technical specifications especially for non-standard products
- Follow up quotations prepared by the Internal Sales Engineers
- Submit monthly order forecasts and maintain a Live Prospects List.
- Prepare and carry out marketing and promotional planning.
- Monitor, collect and report market trends and information on competitor activity for preparation of business plans and strategic policy.
- Identify changes within the market and provide feedback to assist in the overall business strategies relating to products
- Prepare an annual sales plan by customer and product to meet business plans.
- Seek opportunities to develop frameworks and long term agreements.
- Undertake overseas travel to participate in training and visit factories in line with customer requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· HND / Degree Electrical Engineering
· Proven technical sales experience
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Drives knowledge/MV Systems including Motors and transformers
