The Role:
Client is seeking a Naphtha Reforming Process Engineer to join the Process & Control Systems Department based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The role will be working in the Downstream Process Engineering Division where the successful post holder will act as the Technical Authority in the challenging area of naphtha reforming facilities, and in the latest technology in the production of clean fuels and aromatics. The Downstream Process Engineering Division provides expertise in refining processes through the following services: catalytic conversion, distillation and treating, and flare and relief systems.

Responsibilities to include: • Providing proposals for the preliminary design of new process facilities, evaluation and review of in-process designs. • Commissioning new facilities and troubleshooting existing facilities. • Optimization of existing operations. • Introduction of new technologies to improve profitability and meet strategic objectives. • Be a Technical Specialist in a large team of refining and petrochemical specialists providing support to company refining and petrochemical facilities and technology program. • Mentor and train future Engineering Specialists within the company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related degree from an accredited university. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration would be desirable but is not essential. A minimum 10 years of professional experience with very good experience in refinery and petrochemical processes. Experience in the design and operation of naphtha reforming facilities, and in the latest technology in the production of clean fuel aromatics. Experience in project commissioning and retrofits and process modifications. Review and scope new capital projects. Must be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the latest technologies to recommend new generations of catalysts to improve fuel quality and yields. Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be computer literate with an advanced level of experience in the use of office and technical software.
