The Role:
Within the framework of the FLNG Development, in charge of monitoring the engineering of the new built hull.
Under the technical responsibility of Hull Lead, in charge of managing studies related to hull hydrodynamic calculations and mooring analysis.

TECHNICAL/OPERATIONAL
Verify the engineering documents submitted by HULL design contractor(s) for comments and ensuring compliance to all technical requirements
Answer questions and queries.
Anticipate problems in his field of activity and propose solution(s) or optimisation(s)
Participate at any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfil his job responsibility
Liaise with other disciplines to ensure consistency of the works
Liaise with Class regarding issues related to compliance with rules and regulations
Evaluate his workload and advise on potential issues to Hull Lead
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and PTR reviews

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in naval architecture and marine engineering. Post graduate qualifications in marine / offshore highly regarded.

Minimum 3 years experience in naval architecture (stability, hull structure, hydrodynamic, mooring, layout) for FPSO, FPU, FSRU and offshore floaters.
Minimum 2 years experience in engineering studies of offshore oil and gas production facilities from opportunity evaluations, concept selection, to EPC.
Good understanding of all technical disciplines;
Ability to manage and to communicate both internally and externally;
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a real commitment to safety, delivery and quality;
Fluent in English (speaking and writing), knowledge of French language will be appreciated.
