The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Naval Architect to work within the Major Projects Vessel Upgrade & New Build Team to achieve Major Projects delivery promises.

Interface with the project teams to ensure vessel upgrades are effectively developed and executed to suit project requirements
Provide design and operational expertise input to upgrades and new build designs
Manage contractors to achieve HSE targets leading to a safe and efficient execution of all workscopes.

Maintain awareness of, and promote, project goals in respect of HS&E, QA, Schedule, and Technical Integrity, including Participation in regular audit activities
Commit Project and Contractor Management Teams to establish project strategies, philosophies and procedures to successfully execute the construction activities related to subsea installations, ensuring that Client corporate guidelines, shareholder expectations and project HS&E policies are reflected
Input into the Statement of Requirements (SOR) and Project Execution Plan (PEP) as required
Participate in project Risk analysis, HAZID/HAZOP activities
Ensure that Lessons Learned from earlier Caspian projects are appropriately considered and implemented where appropriate in all relevant vessel installation activities
Assist design Contractor on construction issues
Deliver all upgrades and new build Works to the required Specification and appropriate level of readiness
Provide input to Assurance Manager Risk Register
Maintain site-reporting systems and provide input to project services management reports
Lead by example in HSE, Quality and open communication with team and Contractors
Provide input into potential new build vessel for project
Assist in the evaluation of technical submissions for the upgrade and modification of vessels and associated offshore equipment
Review installation contractors technical proposals for refurbishment and upgrade programs to ensure they meet the requirements for offshore installation activities
Review technical requirements from internal delivery teams
Manage studies and reviews performed by independent 3rd parties
Provide support to offshore operations during critical installation activities, commissioning periods, mobilisation etc
Ensure asset availability to support project requirements
Ensure upgrade design meets the needs of the project
Create and encourage team work ethics and harmony in the M&S installation teams

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Naval Architecture
Minimum 7 years’ experience –offshore industry related
Experience with Pipelay/Umbilical lay vessels & heavy lift vessels
New Build Experience
Vessel upgrades/Conversion experience
Conversant with classification society rules and regulations, and industry standards
Conversant in structural design, vessel motion analysis and stability

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
HND or Degree in Naval Architect

Experience of Upgrades and New Build Engineer (Vessel, design, operational expertise input to upgrades and new build designs)
