The Role:
The service holder is responsible for all the activities related to “Naval” structures within the FPSO team, i.e. responsible for monitoring the engineering of converted FPSOs: hull structure conversion and reinforcement, hull appurtenances structure and foundations inside the hull, turret structure and integration inside the hull, living quarter structure refurbishment and enlargement, hull structural monitoring.
He represents the Company technical authority for this discipline (Naval Architecture - Structure). The service holder organises, supervises, controls and coordinates the works relative to the discipline as well as works and studies performed by the various contractors whom he is the contact point.
The service holder shall ensure that all deliverables (both internal and external) related to the discipline are timely issued and fitted for purpose and shall ensure compliance with Company HSEQ requirements and specifications, with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices, and with Company and Project General and Particular specifications.
The service holder will actively participate in the FPSO tendering process with regards to the discipline he is in charge of (development of specifications, participation to technical clarifications, to technical evaluation and ranking, development of the technical part of the RTA report).
The service holder shall ensure that all discipline-related engineering interfaces with other concerned packages are dully dealt with and managed and shall take part to their management.
The service holder will then be responsible for monitoring the procurement, refurbishment, construction and commissioning of the hull and the living quarter in conversion yard and will remain, with regards to his discipline, the correspondent for any engineering occurring problem, for any advice to be given or technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
The service holder shall, in the performance of these responsibilities, contribute to maximise the NPV value of the project by finding means to increase quality and productivity and/or decrease investments thanks to the best technical definition of naval structures for the conversion of the FPSOs.
The service holder reports to the FPSO HULL Leader.
The service holder is also accountable for respecting HSE rules and ensuring their application within his scope of responsibility.

Based PARIS – Frequent missions abroad to be forecasted (to Contractors).
Good motivational skills. Good relationship and skills in external communication.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HULL Engineering - Naval Architecture / structure / HULL Construction / Conversion / Project management (Budget/Cost/Schedule) / HSE / Installation, Hook-up and Commissioning / Knowledge of international norms and standard / Production and Operation / Management of external studies / Management / negotiation of/with contractors / Knowledge of packages in interface.
Professional Experience (years): 15-20
Experience in similar position (years): +/- 10
(Experience in hull and structure design, procurement, installation engineering)
Level / Diploma: Engineer - (Naval Architect (ENSIETA, ENSTA, ESIM or equivalent))
Languages: English mandatory
