The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a NDE (None Destructive Examination) Specialist for a short term contact within central London

Duration:short term contract
Day Rate: Negotiable

To execute NDE assurance & verification activities for pipeline construction project throughout project Execute.
To establish through auditing that the contractor and contractor staff comply with Contract Quality requirements and Integrity of NDE activities is assured.
To verify that all contractor NDE programs have credible processes for the hiring, training and evaluation of staff prior to qualification, and that staff presented to the Project meet the project expectations.
To verify that all procedures presented by the contractors, meet the project specific specifications and the referenced Codes within the procedure.
To ensure that Company QC of NDE functions by contractors is maintained as required by the project, to oversee or administer cross checking program and identify any non-conformances to the project management team.
Supports the promotion of the Project quality & HSSE objectives, verifies the implementation of the Project Delivery Team Quality Plan and other applicable quality documents.
Ensures and captures the opportunities for Continuous Improvement, maintains and reports weekly / monthly Quality performance data.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in a Quality roles associated with the direct delivery and compliance of NDE to internationally recognized Codes & Standards.
The application of Codes, engineering standards and specifications applicable to oil & gas, onshore facilities and equipment.
Experience of planning, conducting and/or participating in external and internal quality audits.
Experience closely aligned with job responsibilities (see section 5)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Management:-
Assist in the review process of Construction Contractor/subcontractors Quality deliverable requirements, attend site Quality meetings.
Ensures consistent application of Project Quality processes.
Provides advice to others within the project team, contractors, subcontractors and third parties as required ensuring understanding of the project quality requirements.
Assists in the development and maintenance of project Quality Plan[s].

Quality Planning:-
Input to the development of the Quality Schedule in line with Project requirements.
Supports the development and maintenance of the risk based Project audit schedule covering audits of the Delivery Team, contractor and subcontractors.
Plans and executes surveillance activities in line with the Company and Contractor surveillance schedules.

Quality Assurance:-
Assists in contractor capability reviews, pre-contract award, to identify the capability of the contractor to meet the Project specific requirements.
Facilitates and monitors the project surveillance activities applied by the Project Delivery Team.
Reviews the suitability of the Contractor / subcontractor QMS certification, Quality Plan and other relevant quality documentation.
Supports conformance reviews as required during the lifecycle of the contract capturing non-conformances and utilises project and GPO tools to manage and drive them to closure.
Assists in audits of the Contractors/subcontractors QMS.

Quality Improvement:-
Collects, evaluates and reports Quality Management KPIs from the key contractors, for performance management by the Project and for regular reporting to the Project Quality Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential
ASNT or PCN Level III in RT, UT, MT & PT (Minimum 4 methods)
Automated Ultrasonic Testing, Phased Array and Time of Flight Diffraction experience
