The Role:

Surveillance of NDT contractor's on BWI including
• Carrying out cross checking of Contractor's NDE technician's work including:
o Interpretation and approval of radiographs
o Carry out UT Inspection (cross checking) of completed welds for verifications
• Review and acceptance of Contractor's NDE reports for all NDE methods ensuring that reports are accurate and fully traceable back to inspected 1tems
• Liaise, provide support and guidance to all site Contractors to ensure that NDT is carried out m accordance project codes, standards, specifications and procedures
• Providing assistance and direction to other NDT Inspectors on BWI
• Regular reviews of Contactor and Subcontractor NDE equipment including calibration records
• Witnessing and monitoring NDE activities as they are performed by the Contractor & proactively provide recommendations for improvement of Contractor NDE techniques and processes
• Review of Contractor radiation safety controls in accordance with local laws, regulations and industry standards
• Witness as required operator proficiency testing
• Review of NDT documentation systems, certification and training records
• Promote safety awareness (Incident Injury Free) IIF and safe performance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Certification to EN473 or ISO 9,712 Level 2 UT Welds
• EN473 or ISO 9712 Level2 RT Welds
• EN473 or ISO 9712 MT and PT
• At least 15 years experience in NDT
• Experience in oil and gas construction and fully conversant with NDE of process piping, pressure vessels and structural steel work
• Experience in working to ASME 831.3
• Pro-active approach to problem solving and trouble shooting Ability to provide clear accurate, timely communication (written and Verbal) with line manger.
• The successful candidate will be self motivated, possess good communication skills, leadership, teamwork, computer literate with high level of technical report writing

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualifications in AICIP - Certified Pressure Equipment Inspector in Western Australia
• EN473 or ISO 9712 UT Level2 node and nozzle
• Previous experience of working on LNG Projects
• AEN473 or ISO 9712 Level2 TOFD and PAUT certification
• EN473 or ISO 9712 UT Level2 node and nozzle
• Experience in working to ASME 831.3 code case 181
