The Role:
Must possess UT Equipment

The job holder is responsible to :
- Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives. Also support and implement the Project HSEQ Management System (plans, procedures and specifications).
- Directly report to the Lead Structure and Piping Inspector for the Structural and Piping matters and to Welding/NDT Lead for the welding and NDT matters.
- Ensure the compliance of the fabrication and construction works with the engineering.
- Ensure the compliance with applicable codes for Structure, Piping and NDT code, specifications and standards and best shipbuilding practices for offshore platforms.
- Ensure the responsibility of monitoring the construction of the FPSO structure and piping (ship part, offshore areas, steel outfitting…) including living quarters when required.
- Cross-check by UT each Structure Special categories and review RT film for Piping and structure.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans to verify that Contractor is performing all required NDT inspections and witnessing. Mark up NDT Inspection and Test plans with witness and hold points for NDT Inspection.
- Monitor the contractors NDT control system implementation, throughout the project performance, in accordance with the approved ITP, procedures and NDT drawings and contractor data base.
- Monitor any Contractor’s staff or processes qualifications (NDT operator, welding welders, PWHT, etc…)
- Supervise the activities of Contractor’s NDT inspectors (welding, NDT,…)
- Ensure the monitoring of Contractor’s tracking registers (qualifications, certifications, calibrations etc. follow-up) and required data bases (piping access data base, material traceability data base etc…)
- Check and follow, in liaison with the QC coordinators, the Sub-Contractor/Contractor’s NCR, and Company C.A.R. status and relevant correctives action if required.
- Make sure that the impact of Sub-contractors or Contractor acceptable Deviation Requests on the ongoing quality performance have been properly implemented and reflected in the As Built documentation and monitor randomly the step by step compilation of executive documentation (final dossier) in contractor or sub contractor’s premises.
- Participate in the welding and metallurgy discussion/supervision and welding book review.
- Review Inspectors deliverables, analyze and resolve issues and problems emerging during the NDT control activity.
- Attend to weekly welding/NDT meetings with Contractor to review NDT work progress, quality issues/failures, NCR etc.
- Review of QC data base as routine activities, ensure the review and completion of all the welding and NDT for the structure at block final, pre-erection and dock erection stage respectively.

- Perform any other tasks as assigned by hierarchy.

- Ensure that an effective implementation of HSE system is applied, as appropriate at site.
- Take time for checking safety documents and permits at site.
- Ensure that risk assessment prior to start new activity is properly conducted and understood by personnel involved.
- Make himself visible at site and available/approachable for discussion about HSE concerns.

he job holder shall be fully accountable and directly responsible for :
- Organizing regular visits on site and main subcontractors.
- Full implementation of approved Project QA/QC Plan and contractual QA/QC requirements in all activities of the FPSO Package by company team, contractor and subcontractors.
- Ensuring that FPSO scope in Korea has reached a high quality level in particular identified by the number of CAR/NCR raised and cleared during project phases.
- Checking adequate qualification and competency of personnel involved in the work on QA/QC related matters.
- Adhesion to Company HSE policy is essential

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Certificates in QC (Welding/NDT…others)
- Minimum 10 years experience in NDT/Welding role in Petrochemical, Refinery or Fabrication Yard, of which 5+ years shall have covered most aspects of fabrication.
- Experience with piping and /or structure
- Knowledge of all applicable standard (GS EP STR, BV, IACS, DNV, ASME and AWS)
- Knowledge of quality process
- Communication and reporting skills
- Familiar with the Yard practices (Construction drawing, shop drawing NDE map and weld map)
- Visual, MPT, UT, RT certified base on EN473 for structure or SNT-TC-1A for piping
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) base on DWS and CSWIP on EN Standard
- Language: Fluent English, Korean
