The Company:
Our client specialise in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear decommissioning, defence, and nuclear new build markets. The client is looking for a NDT Operative to work on a major project therefore the candidate MUST be able and eligible to obtain Security Clearance.

The Role:
The NDT Operator will examine and test the properties of materials used in machinery and structures to find possible faults like corrosion, cracks, flaws and other imperfections.

As an NDT technician, you would use a range of methods to test materials and parts, including:

ultrasonic testing – firing high frequency sound pulses into materials and analysing the differences in the reflected signals

The NDT Technician will do visual inspection – using CCTV and fibre optic cameras

magnetic particle testing – (MPI) applying magnetic particles to materials, so they line up along cracks and defects (often combined with dye testing)

NDT Specialist with skills in Visual, MPI and Ultrasonic Inspection techniques to PCN Level 2

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The NDT Operator will hold PCN Level 2 or CSWIP in the following:

- Ultrasonic Testing - welded joints
Magnetic Particle Inspection
Dye Penetrant

And Visual Inspection

The candidate will be from an engineering background
