The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
The incumbent of this job is considered having highest expertise and ruling in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspection and technologies within the site. Support planning and management of NDT inspections and services for process operations and projects in order to ensure the integrity, quality and compliance of facilities with requirements of applicable codes and the client engineering specifications during fabrication/manufacturing (procurement), installation/constructions (projects) and in-service / shutdowns (operations).
1. Provide NDT expertise support to plant and project inspection activities and management.
2. Lead implementation of newly introduced advanced (non-conventional) NDT methods for applications that require advanced tools.
3. Evaluate adaptation of new advanced NDT tools and technologies to improve asset integrity and economics.
4. Lead implementation and adaptation of new advanced NDT tools and technologies.
5. Provide expert support for advanced (non-conventional)) NDT methods for high risk applications. These methods include but not limited to: RT of various energy levels, techniques & sources (e.g. Electrical Linear Accelerator and GAMA for high thickness material), Automated UT, Acoustic Emission (AE) for corrosion activity mapping and Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) for crack and weld defects characterization, Eddy Current (EC) for tube inspection, Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) for wall thickness loss profiling, Laser Optics (LOTIS) for corrosion under insulation (CUI) and others based on proven NDT technologies.
6. Develop and prepare scopes for NDT service contracts and acts as focal point.
7. Develop reviews and update NDT procedures, standards and specifications.
8. Act as site focal point for radiation sources handling and control including monitoring exposure levels.
9. Support selection of appropriate advanced (non-conventional) method for special and high risk applications.
10. Administer and certify qualification of NDT personnel within the site.
11. Develop and help improvement of NDT inspection discipline including procedures, qualification tests, strategies, etc.
12. Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of all codes and standards pertaining to NDT selection, execution and interpretation and fully understands capabilities and limitations of available conventional and advanced NDT methods.
13. Provide high level interpretation of advanced NDT results and recommendations per applicable codes and standards.
14. Support development of OJT programs and material and mentoring.
15. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A Technical College degree in Mechanical studies or equivalent or High School (industrial/science) degree with three years of experience and training in NDT.
• English Proficiency: Up to Level 7, TOFEL or equivalent.
• ASNT level III certification in the five (5) conventional NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, UT & RT); certification in at least five advanced (non-conventional) methods and ASNT RTFI interpreter Level II.
• Physically fit for equipment entry and climbing; valid Driver License; vision.
