The Role:
Job Description:

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a high degree of competency and experience with networking and telecoms in an enterprise environment and as such will be responsible for design, installation, and documentation of Network Services projects.

Specific knowledge of Cisco LAN, WAN, Wireless and Voice products are essential, as is previous experience delivering complex telecom solutions to customers.

Knowledge of Riverbed WAN accelerators is preferred but is not essential.

Once familiar with the processes the incumbent will be required to provide IT On-Call duties to business critical applications and associated infrastructure as part of a 24x7 multi-person rota.

Key Deliverables:

1. Liaise with other members of the team, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experience and ideas.
2. Evolve and improve network performance.

Knowledge, Experience and Attributes

a) Demonstrate a high degree of competency and experience in enterprise networking.
b) Application installation troubleshooting in LAN and WAN environments.
c) Installation and support of Cisco routers, switches and Wireless in large enterprises.
d) Installation and support of Cisco VoIP, and IP Telephony in large enterprises.
e) Demonstrate a strong understanding of WAN Networking Technologies, in particular EIGRP, BGP, VPN and QoS
f) Customer focused.
g) Team player that can work with minimal supervision.
h) Ability to draw on the expertise of the team to deliver the best solutions.
i) Ability to deliver promises to agreed deadlines.
j) Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
k) Individual should be offshore certified or be willing to under go certification.
l) Individual must be willing to travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The incumbent will be educated to degree level and be Cisco Certified (minimum CCNP, CCIE preferred) and a minimum of 5 years work experience with Telecoms in the enterprise environment of which at least 1 year at least is within the oil industry.
